Plans
The plan was to use the good weather on saturday before the rain sets in on sunday and the Corona lockdown on monday. We knew that we would also pass by the "Wiesbaden Fasanerie", an animal park near Wiesbaden so we kinda planned to visit that on the way back.
Expedition
Shortly before we left home we checked the homepage of the "Fasanerie" just to learn that they issue timed tickets now and although they are completely free where you would normally pay an entrance fee to the park, they were completely sold out for saturday :(
We drove to the hash anyway (passing by the park as planned, didn't look extremely full, wonder how many people got the free ticket and didn't show) and used a nearby parking lot which got us to about a kilometer of the hash. We had a very nice hike and the hash was right beside a well used forest track so very easy to reach. Because the weather was good we kept on walking in a big circle back to the car so all in all we walked about 4.7km in total.
We actually met A LOT of people in the woods and were initially somewhat irritated. Some time later we realized they all had blue wristbands and upon inquiry it turns out that they were participating in the Mammutmarsch.
