Expedition

This hash was 40 minutes by bike and the weather was all right, so I decided to go for it. I needed to be back in time for a dentist appointment, but just as I wanted to mount my bike and take off, I noticed that my headphones wouldn‘t connect. I tried a few more times, but it didn‘t work, so I went inside again and fixed it. Having to revise the plan, I brushed my teeth and started half an hour later, around 5 pm, by which time it was already pitch-dark, now intending to cycle to the dentist from the hash. I missed my turn once and had to take off my ever sweatier gloves every few minutes to check the route on my phone, but finally arrived after cycling 12.6 km on dark streets. The hash was only 22 m onto a field from the street, so I climbed through some underbrush and walked onto the leaf-coated earth. I found the hashspot and tried my best to take pictures of the black landscape; then I left and cycled another 10 km to Kaltenkirchen in sweat-soaked winter gloves, arriving a few minutes late at my dentist‘s because of some inconvenient traffic lights and crossroads. After the appointment, I wanted to take the train home, but found out at the station that the next one left in 17 minutes, so I cycled the last 7.2 km home too.
