The Discovery

Gabe woke up on a Monday morning and checked the daily coordinates for his home graticule, despite the fact that he was away from home visiting Luke. Immense shock and disbelief ensued as Gabe discovered that the hash lay a mere 61m from his home, only 20m beyond the back fence. However, being away from home, Gabe wasn't sure whether or not he would make it back in time, since he had to drop his girlfriend off at the airport at 9 pm before he could make the 2.5-hour drive home. If all went according to plan, he figured that he might barely make it in time.

To Gabe's great satisfaction, all DID go according to plan and he arrived home 30 minutes before the meaningless, Internet-generated location would disappear forever, lost to the sands of time. He grabbed a flashlight and prepared to make the 20m walk beyond the back fence to achieve what would likely be the closest attempt to a couch potato achievement he would ever see.

The Journey

The journey was not glamorous. He literally opened the gate and walked for MAYBE 15 seconds, slowed down slightly some tall grass and fear of the dark.
