Plans

The French nationwide curfew was lifted on Sunday. I decided to celebrate that with a Midnight Geohash.

Expedition

The geohash was located less than 6 km from my home. So I decided to walk there. I left at 22:45 and took a long narrow street, halfway up between the Rhône river and the hill of Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon. The evening walked started very pleasantly: the temperature was cool and the streets empty. And then the sky opened up.

In a couple of minutes I was completely soaked. Small streams flowed down the streets as the sewers were struggling to drain the rainwater. After 20 minutes, the thunderstorm stopped and a very light rain took over.

I arrived at the coordinates at 23:50 and waited until midnight on a small bench under a tree, just a few meters away. After recording proof I walked to the nearest Velo'v station and bicycled back home.
