Expedition

I didn't actually have much time that day (I had just handed in my Bachelor's thesis an hour previously and was now working on the presentation for my defense), but I figured if I wanted to get to average one hash a week for 2021, I couldn't let this one slide. So I took the A2 and U1 to Langenhorn Markt in the late afternoon (it was already dark when I arrived) and then, in persistent rain, cycled 2.2 km to the hash. It lay just in front of a terraced house, about a metre from the wall. Fortunately, nobody could see me from their kitchen window. GPS was terrible, but from the marker I could see that the hash was located just inside a quite large coniferous bush (possibly false cypress?). I took some photos of and with Norma Hashhog in and under the bush, pausing several times due to noises from outside the next door, but nobody came over. On my way back, I wanted to see if I could get a glimpse of the nearby airport runway, but it was not possible. I did, however, cycle around the Rückhaltebecken Krohnstieg in the complete dark, then proceeded to make my way to Langenhorn Nord station mostly through allotment gardens (Schrebergärten, as we call them). Because I did not want to have my phone out in the rain the entire time and couldn't operate it without gloves, I took several wrong turns, cycling 4.3 km instead of the direct 2.1 km, and my legs were quite wet at the end. On the train back, as on the train there, I worked a bit on my presentation.
