Pretty standard, really – wearing two coats against the cold, I cycled 8.3 km to the hash, including right through a cattle farm because I took a wrong turn. The geohash lay at the edge of a tiny forest, a way removed from the street. I walked 270 m along the edge and then across the harvested field that lay between, trying to avoid stepping into any of the countless puddles. I skirted around some vegetation and reached the coordinates 25 m into the trees, right at the edge of a fenced garden. The hashdance took a while because my location kept shifting away, but I eventually settled right beside a cool-looking tree that had fallen from the garden into the forest. I took some pictures with Baruch, then went back to my bike along the other edge of the field and along the street, smutching my shoes. Then I cycled a similar way home through the villages of Kattendorf, Winsen, and Kisdorf, arriving sweaty.
