Plans

Two in a row very close to home, that's remarkable! This one's just beside a (newly-built or renovated?) residential house.

Expedition

After spending most of the day watching the Winter Olympics, I got on the train to Kaltenkirchen in late afternoon and then cycled 1.1 km to the hash. It was hard to see on satellite pictures where exactly it lay, because the area appeared very different between satellite maps – I couldn't even tell whether the hash was inside a building or not. When I got there, I found out that the coordinates were just beside (~1 m) the garage of a private house, 18 m from the street. Right next door was a newly-built but not yet finished house, and apparently they had renovated the roof of the garage too.

To my luck, the house alongside to the garage was dark and looked abandoned with some debris next to it (I think it was for sale). Since the house under construction was not yet occupied, no one could see me walk across the parking space and open a gate to the left of the garage, just behind which I located the geohash. I took a few pictures with Baruch among the scrap, worried about some passing cars, struggled somewhat to close the gate again and then cycled back to the station.

What a success; I'd expected to not be able to get to the hash without being spotted by residents, but the hash had conveniently fallen right between two of the few unoccupied buildings in Marschweg! At the station, I noticed I had missed my intended train by a few minutes due to traffic lights. I wasn't keen on waiting around, so I just cycled the 6.5 km home from there.
