Plans
There were no original plans, since I first discoverd this hash whilst having breakfast at work, so this was a spontaneous one!
Expedition
After 36 (!!!) days without visiting any geohash at all, I already started to be jealous of some fellow hashers in Australia, seeing them doing several consecutive days with geohash finds haha! Congratulation to all of you, enjoy hashing and I hope the streak will continue for all of you!
For me, the hash points mostly were way too far away from my home zone or they weren't accessible due to several reasons (mostly, while on the middle of fields!)... So, whilst having breakfast at work, I got really excited when I noticed that today's hash was just on my way between work and home – what a nice surprise! Still, I had to drive a little detour after work, since I had an appointment for an oil change in another town, and I was hoping that this wouldn't steal too much of my time!
But, the guy only needed half an hour for the job, so I arrived in Germerode short after 3 pm, parked my car and started to walk to the geohash. With a linear distance of some 1,7 km I had to walk this serpentine road uphill which doubled the distance – after 3,4 km / 40 minutes I got near the hash and started to do a little hash dance, only some 10 meters off the path, got pretty accurate and took proof... Enjoyed the forest, made some pics...
After that I walked the same way back, downhill this time, it had started raining and there was this nasty wind all the time (they're expecting a hurricane for this friday), but it didn't actually bother me, since I was in a very good mood, having visited a hash after such a long time of abstinence haha... Hope this won't be my last hash for the month of February, even if tomorrow looks bad again! Let's just wait and see what the future holds for me...
