Expedition

What a great location: Right on the A7, near the exit you usually take when driving to my hometown! Been there dozens of times.

I would've driven there on most days, but the hash was unfortunately timed because I had neither time (needed to go to university and only expected to be back after midnight due to a board game evening) nor a car that day (my mother's was at the repair shop). Additionally, the geohash was located exactly between the on-drive and the exit, so I would've had to drive all the way south to Schnelsen to pass by the slip road. So I sadly could't make it there, but it would've been a great Déjà-vu achievement.

I did visit by train before university though, getting off at Tanneneck and cycling 1.8 km to the Autobahn bridge. My train arrived 12 minutes late, but fortunately I had a big buffer. From the bridge, I could see the hash 144 m away and took a video of all the cars driving over it, unknowingly achieving what I could not. On the way back, I stopped at 2021-08-03 53 9 only 512 m from this hash, located on the street I had to cycle along anyway, thus earning me a retrohash without even trying – a first for me.

This is by far my furthest-from-the-coordinates unsuccessful geohash, and will likely remains so for a long time since there are very few areas in the vicinity where you can't get closer than 144 m. I don't even think I can claim the No trespassing consolation prize for this expedition, since it's a public street …
