If it was any other weekend, I probably would have gone to the Buffalo Hash in Allegany State Park. Instead, my Girlfriend was hosting a Housewarming/Xmas-in-July party so I was helping out with that. I had a haircut appointment in the morning, so my initial plan was to stop at the hash on my way to her place. I also needed to bring my large cooler and a bunch of ice.

I stopped at a local store and bought 3 large bags thinking I still had room after looking at 2 in the cart, but getting to the car, I realized it was close, but I couldn't close the lid. Since it was pretty warm, I figured I'd change the plans and get the ice to the house before it melted too much. I then helped her get setup and around 14:00, I took Myka with me to drop her off at my sister's place. She is a nervous dog and would just be a wreck at the party, especially with little kids running around. She would be much happier, quietly napping on the couch at my sister's.

I detoured to the Hash to make a quick stop before heading to my sister's. Following my Phone's GPS, I made it to the hash-road without incident and flipped over to the HashDroid app about a block away. Noting the driveways from the close cross-street, I pulled off onto the shoulder and stopped where I thought the hash was. The HashDroid app showed me in the middle of the road about 20 feet/3 meters away. I tried leaning over to the passenger side and that seemed to 'unstick' the pin and it started moving to the correct side of the road and got within a much more reasonable distance. Getting a couple pics, I made a 3 point turn and started to head back and got a shot of the hash area at the same time. I then realized someone was pulling out of the driveway right next to the hash. I hope he thought I was lost and checking my phone for directions and not being too much of a weirdo...

I then navigated to my sister's where I helped her move a rug up to the second floor. Heading back, I walked in and my gf asked me where the subs were. D'oh! I totally forgot I was supposed to pick up the food on the way back. Rushing out, I went to the Wegman's on Amherst Street (I had asked her if it was the one ON Amherst and she said Yes). However, when I got there, they didn't have the order and looking it up, it was the one on Alberta Drive IN Amherst.  Ok, gotta get there now. I called my gf to laugh about the miscommunication and hoped this was the worst thing that happened for the party (things always go wrong, but as long as the guests have no idea, it's all good). At the next major intersection at Amherst and Elmwood, there was a commotion of people on bikes and I realized it was the annual Buffalo Naked Bike Ride. I estimated there were about 200 riders, all mostly and a few totally naked and they looked like they were having a good time. I could see others in the cars looking very confused as to what was going on. After they passed by, I was then able to get the food and get back to the house only a little late for the start of the party. Fortunately, only a couple guests had already arrived and it was a very nice afternoon/evening.
