In the evening, I cycled to Misburg along a path on the Midland Canal. When I arrived near the forest at the destination, I locked my bike and approached the coordinates on foot from the east for the last meters.

The problem with this forest is that the eastern part of it has thick, thorny underbrush. To the south, there is a field which is much easier to walk on, but a small stream separates the forest and the field, and I did not think that attempting to jump it in the dark would be a good idea. Nevertheless, I approached on the field, hoping that there might be a bridge over the stream.

I was in luck: There indeed was a bridge, but not one made by humans. A tree in the forest must have been knocked over recently, and it fell right over the stream to the onto the field. If this sounds familiar, you might have read my report for 2020-02-14 52 9, where I was in a similar situation. Climbing over the stream on this tree in the dark made me a bit nervous, and I am happy that I did not fall in.

The coordinates were almost directly on the other side of the tree. This part of the forest thankfully did not have any underbrush. I took a break at the coordinates. The forest and the adjacent field were between two sets of train tracks, and I watched a few trains pass by. After a while, I recorded proof and left, using the tree as a bridge once more, and cycled back home afterwards.
