Baarde will take the train from Sélestat to Basel, then cycle to the geohash. He expects to arrive around 14:00.

Expedition

During the train ride to Basel, I had discussed with another cyclist who was getting off at Saint-Louis. As I had to move my bicycle to let him access his and we were getting along quite well, I decided to also get off at Saint-Louis and we cycled together up to the Rhine. So I first crossed the river and the France-Germany border to arrive at Weil-am-Rhein. Then I went through Basel, crossing two more borders before reentering Germany. I cycled along the Rhine for about 35 km before reaching Bad Säckingen.

The coordinates were located on the pavement in front of an outlet store. After recording proof, I went to a nearby fast food to have a bite before visiting the Holzbrücke Bad Säckingen, an old covered bridge that connects the city with the village Stein in Switzerland.

I continued my route until Laufenburg, where I took a train to Basel, and then to Sélestat (with a little bit of cycling between Basel train stations).
