In the last four weeks, I had not gone on any expeditions (my longest drought in over a year), but this geohash lay conveniently only 900 m from a station on a line I could take into Hamburg, which I had to do anyway. After the rail replacement bus service brought me to Burgwedel station, I cycled 2.2 km to the hash, which was located 1 m inside a garage right next to a busy street.
I had just changed my back tyre's inner tube because it kept ripping, but the new one (which was actually multiply repaired old one) was very thin at the valve and very thick right next to it, giving my wheel a slightly egg-shaped form you could clearly feel while cycling. As I got off my bike near the hash to push it a bit closer, I noticed that the tube had deflated again, and the mantle tyre had sprung off the rim such that you couldn't even push the bike without the tyre rubbing on the brakes and the rim getting damaged, making a horrible scraping sound. Resigned that I'd have to get yet another tube and carry the back wheel the rest of the day, I proceeded to the hash.
Easily locating the single garage in front of an apartment complex, I went to the point closest to the hash, away from the street. Unfortunately, I couldn't see any way of getting onto the roof, and passersby and people watching from windows would've clearly seen me. Since I was only 1 m away and the Geohash Droid said it was a success I will deem the expedition successful for the purposes of this report, but in my personal statistics I will not treat it so, analogous to 2020-05-14 53 9 where the hash was one metre further into a big hedge than I could reach.
After laboriously carrying my bike to Schnelsen station, I fortunately still caught my intended train. As it often is, however, the next S21 didn't run and I had to wait 12 minutes in Eidelstedt. Also, I couldn't cycle to my final destination and instead had to leave my damage-prone bike at the station.
