In the evening, I cycled northwest via Halen to Neuenkirchen. Part of my route took me on a non-military road which was sandwiched by military areas on both sides. As I crossed the Midland Canal, I saw some people preparing to jump in.
The coordinates were on a field, I located them at an intersection of several tractor tracks.
On the way back, I cycled along the Midland Canal, watched the river Hase flow underneath the canal without touching it, and saw the Osnabrück Canal branch off from the Midland Canal. I followed the Osnabrück Canal, which took me back to the city.
