Drive to Hönebach and then on the L3251 to get as near as 100 meters to the hash - go by feet for the last few meters.
Expedition
After quite a 'hashless' period of time - coordinates being way too far away from my home or unreachable - today I wanted to do a geohash! It has been so long time gone since my latest one, so I also agreed with the fact, that I had to drive some 30 km to this hash. Parking was available nearby, so I only had to walk 100 meters and would go for some geocaches afterwards.
Well, as I arrived in Hönebach, I noticed that the L3251 was currently inaccessible due to maintenance. So I tried to get as near as possible from the other side through Raßdorf, but there was a roadblock as well. No big deal, so I parked my car nearby and walked some 1,7 km to the hash. Cool to walk here - on a road where cars normally drive by with 100 kmh! It was directly along the highway A4, so it was pretty loud...
The forest to my left looked nice, but there was a steep slope downwards and while I was thinking how to manage this problem, I got to a construction that I could use as a sort of stairs and I got the way down succesfully! From here, it were 60 meters into the forest. The hash was directly on the Hesse / Thuringia border - guess the geohash was still in Hesse anyway, but only two steps from here, and I was in Thuringia.
The hash was an old tree stump - took some pics and made evidence. Hopefully from now on I will be more lucky with future hashes!
