Plans

After visiting 2023-09-03 52 7 in Balkum, I originally wanted to reach Bersenbrück afterwards to position it strategically as a starting point for today's coordinates. However, in order to catch my train, I had to opt for the closer station in Bramsche, and left my bike there.

Since today's coordinates are closer to Bersenbrück than to Bramsche, I thought that this had made my plans to cycle from the station to the coordinates impossible.

However, I know that some trains that start in Osnabrück get split in Bramsche, with one part going to Bremen and the other to Oldenburg. That splitting causes a seven-minute stop, which could be enough time to leave the train, get my bike, and get back onto the train with the bike. Then I could get off the train in Bersenbrück and continue with the original plan.

While I still think that this would work, I didn't go through with those plans once I realized that starting from Bramsche rather than Bersenbrück is only a 13-kilometer difference (40 km vs. 53 km) - so simply cycling from Bramsche to Berge is well within my range.

Expedition

In the evening, I took the train to Bramsche, got my bike, and cycled to Berge from there.

Despite its name, Berge is not particularly mountainous. The coordinates were at the intersection of Börsteler Str and Am Tempelskamp. The streets weren't busy, so I didn't have a hard time locating the coordinates.

After recording proof, I cycled to the station in Quakenbrück and took the train back to Osnabrück.
