In the morning, I took the train via Herford, Bielefeld and Altenbeken to Paderborn Central, and walked the rest of the distance.
The city of Paderborn takes its name from being the source of the river Pader. The Pader is not a very long river though, it is entirely situated within the city limits of Paderborn. At 4 kilometers of length, Wikipedia calls it the shortest river of its size in Germany. Walking along the Pader, I arrived at the Padersee lake after a while, through which the Pader flows. On the southwestern shore of the lake, I located the coordinates and recorded proof.
Afterwards, I continued walking north along the lake shore and then along the river again, once it left the lake. I crossed the confluence where the Pader flows into the Lippe near the Neuhaus castle. Not long after that, I reached the Paderborn-Schloss Neuhaus station and took the train via Bielefeld and Bünde back home to Osnabrück.
