John got on the train towards the hash at around 7:30am. From Belgrave station he proceeded by foot towards the hash, doing a 'Hilly run'.
He reached the hash at 9:47am and took some photos, one of the picturesque, foggy bush. Unfortunately, he did not meet up with Expedition 2 despite doing a loop to delay his departure. He returned home via a similar method.

At 8:40am, Lachie acquired his Patrick and departed via train towards the hash. They arrived at The Basin at 10 to 10, having bought pies at the bakery. They rode their bikes up the Dandenongs to the hash, but sadly, as above, did not meet Party 1.
On their return their train was delayed by a wallaby jumping onto the tracks at Upper Ferntree Gully, requiring wildlife workers to bag it up and release it elsewhere.
