Went here before cycling to the Observatory in Bergedorf to meet with my supervisor and work on my thesis. The hash lay right across the field from Riepenburg Mill, only 200 m away. Built in 1828, it's the oldest and tallest remaining grain mill in Hamburg as well as one of the oldest mill sites in Germany (first mentioned in 1318) and one of the only windwills in Germany still regularly in wind-powered use.
The expedition really tested my creek-jumping skills. Report to come.
