In the morning, I took the train to Quakenbrück and cycled the rest of the distance. I grew up in this area, and my parents had only moved away a few months ago. It had been raining a lot recently, and I saw lots of rivers that I had never seen as full as they are now, some streams which had burst their banks, plenty of flooded fields. Most of my path was dry, but occasionally there would be a ditch that was too full to contain all the water. I took some photos - compare them with 2022-04-18 52 8, commons:Category:Lager Hase, or commons:Category:Fladderkanal to see how the waterways usually look. Thankfully, my old schools and resting places of loved ones were not affected.

In Lüsche, the coordinates were in a parking lot next to a house. I located the coordinates, recorded proof, and quickly left in order to not alert anyone.

Afterwards, I cycled to Essen. Now I noticed the strong western winds that had previously been in my back. From Essen, I took the train back home to Osnabrück.
