Planning to go in the evening. No set time, probably around 5–6 pm. Koloděje is nicely reachable by public transport, and the hashpoint is within reasonable walking distance from there.

Expedition

I now live in Prague temporarily. I was not sure at first how geohashing would work out here for me since I do not have a car nor a bicycle that I could use. However, I soon found out that Prague has an excellent public transport network that makes a huge area readily accessible. Given a bit of luck, I could even go for an expedition after a workday. Today's coordinates were sufficiently lucky.

I took buses 331, 181 and 111 from Vestec to Koloděje, which took about an hour. My plan was to catch the 111 bus that would leave in 55 minutes, so I had plenty of time to walk about 2.5 kilometres and visit the geohash and a geocache, perhaps two. It was dark, but the partially cloudy sky and bright moon provided enough light that I could see well.

I followed a straight route towards the hashpoint, which was a hard path at first but then turned into a muddy tractor track. It was also uneven and frozen in places, and I had to be a little careful so I would not hurt myself. After finally reaching the hashpoint and taking a few photos, instead of turning back I continued forward to another hard path that led to a geocache. I found it quickly and then followed the hard path back towards the bus stop.

There was another geocache near the route, and I went to look for it but gave up soon because I did not want to risk missing the bus. There was a fence, and I was not sure if I was on the right side of it, and I also do not know enough Czech to read the additional hint without machine translating it. (I did not post a log entry because it was not a serious attempt.) I walked to the bus stop and took buses 111 and 138 to Krč, which also took about an hour. The public transport is indeed very convenient, but travelling long distances naturally takes a lot of time.
