The Saguenay graticule is at latitude 47, longitude -71. The graticule spans longitudinally from Lac-St-Jean along the Saguenay River to Chicoutimi in the east. The entire megacity of Saguenay, containing Chicoutimi, Jonquiere, and Kenogami, is located in the centre of the graticule, and most locations to the north are accessible by local roads. South of the city, however, is difficult to access, with only two highways spanning the distance to Quebec City.
