Kind of sad to see the old signals being crossed out and deactivated... --Zb 19:06, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

At least they will not be removed! The line has been converted to using Zugleitbetrieb, i.e. no classic signaling at all, so that it's no more necessary to maintain them and have personell at the station to be able to run trains. However, the signal control facility at Münsingen is very special in being the last operable one of a specific old type, still mainly in original state, and has been put under protection as technical heritage. This is basically why the semaphores are crossed out: They are no more in use, but may not be removed.

Season for the sunday specials with class 796 railcars ends next week, i.e. they go tomorrow and once more on Oct 18th, restarting on May 1st. --Ekorren 19:17, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Well, maybe next year then. I am still trying to re-organize all my stuff after having moved into a new place over the last three weeks... Moving is a bit like being on an island: (Almost) no phone and no internet... --Zb 19:47, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Too bad. I haven't checked the actual timetable, but I believe tomorrow's 48,8 hash could be reachable for you via Schelklingen - Münsingen - Kleinengstingen - Gammertingen - Sigmaringen - Tuttlingen, using a class 796 railcar from Ulm to Kleinengstingen and a NE81 railcar from Sigmaringen to Tuttlingen. I thought of doing something like that, but my bike has a flat tire and without bike it's much less attractive to actually go there. --Ekorren 19:58, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
