Oh boy... you actually proceeded past those "private estate" signs? Rather you than me. I don't mind nipping into a field when nobody is looking if I'm not damaging the crops, but I would have stopped right there on seeing those signs. I actually looked at this hash the other day and guessed it was actually in the grounds of Osborne House. You're free to take your own risks, as long as you understand that you can't expect support from the geohashing community if you get into trouble.
That said, it looks like an interesting journey. I recognized a lot of places from my own trips, especially the chain ferry - although the tide was nowhere near that high when I used it - wow!
Favourite photo caption: "Chocolate Bar" - LOL! --macronencer 06:35, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
i'm so glad you went!
i was thinking of that, wishing i could go, remembering fondly my own recent geohashing trip to the isle of wight. I too like the Chocolate Bar caption, haha! --sermoa 07:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
It was such a long way to go it would have been really disapointing to not have not reached the hash. Yes I have lol'd lots about the chocobar. Just pulled it out of my bag and realised what it was called :) --04housemat 11:58, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
