From Geohashing

A few points:

  • On an ordinary railway day, this would be a pleasant journey from Kings Cross or some Thameslink stations. It looks like there'll be disruptions, but yknow, how bad can it get? I want to get there for 4pm so I will try to leave a bit earlier than I would otherwise.
  • I will bring my Baofeng (a terrible radio, but the only portable I have) and leave it on 145.500MHz when I'm not on the train. I'm not really used to voice communication on the radio but it'll be fun to play with it.

OK this should work. I'm rarely on the air and then usually on PSK31 so my phone technique will be rusty! Depending on timings, I could give you a lift from/back to the station. G4JUV --Sourcerer (talk) 19:31, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Oh, I like PSK31, it's really cool. We should try a QSO when I'm in the south west but I think I'd not see you due to the skip zone. Don't worry about phone technique, I get it all wrong every time. I'll be 2E0RLZ tomorrow. You also have my mobile number due to the text I sent earlier. Sorry if that was an intrusion; I meant to send an email because I was out and about but couldn't edit the wiki until today. Thanks for the offer of the lift; I'll try to get to the station nice and early and we can see how we go. Tongs (talk) 20:24, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Ooooh GDPR violation! - LOL! I'm now planning a diversion to avoid the Duxburgh Air Show on the A505. I'll take my phone in case either of us is delayed. --Sourcerer (talk) 10:45, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
