From Geohashing
Interesting to read about The Globe; I always saw it in the background of CERN panoramic shots and assumed it was a storage tank or something. Arlo (talk) 20:25, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Arlo, indeed, it's a special building mainly aimed at showcasing CERN to the non-physicist world. There are many other very large storage buildings around CERN, but they don't look anywhere close to as nice (mostly big concrete structures). If you're ever in the area, it's worth a visit. There are a lot of really cool buildings at CERN that I've been fortunate enough to see over the years. -Srs0 (talk) 21:33, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi srs0, nice to know you are still in the area, hopefully we will meet at some point. And what a coincidence, two expeditions in a row in 46,6 after nearly two years break! --Crox (talk) 20:28, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Crox, what a coincidence! Yes, I'm still in the area, and fortunately will continue be for at least a few years more. It would be great to meet at some point. I'm not the best at keeping up with the wiki but I'm around. Is the phone number listed for your SMS geohashing service a number that I could also send a non-geohash message to? If so, maybe I can give you another way to get in touch with me without putting my number on the wiki. -Srs0 (talk) 21:33, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
- Unfortunately my geohashing SMS service has stopped working a while back due to a hardware defect. I want to restore it at some point (and add Signal), but anyway it's not an optimal way to get in touch with me. Best is probably to send me an e-mail through the wiki. --Crox (talk) 22:11, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Hooray, so you didn't give up on geohashing after all those years! I think this might be the longest time between expeditions ever. - Danatar (talk) 15:19, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
