Name of this Graticule

According to the latest census data, Nordhausen has overtaken Goslar in size. Would anyone object to rename the graticule? -- relet 14:06, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

As no one did, I renamed the graticule. :) -- relet 20:26, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

I checked on new data concerning the population of Goslar and Nordhausen. The latest I could find is from 2014-12-31. According to the statistical offices of Lower Saxony and Thuringia, the city of Goslar has a population of 50457 and the city of Nordhausen has a population of 41800, which makes Goslar larger. Goslar.de and Nordhausen.de have similar numbers.

So maybe this graticule should be renamed to Goslar, but maybe Nordhausen will overtake Goslar again and it would have to be renamed again. So I am proposing a third name: Harz, Germany

The Harz mountains take up the whole northern part of the graticule, and they are the graticule's main feature. This name would be more permanent than Nordhausen or Goslar. On the other hand, the southern part of the graticule is not covered by the Harz, and additionally, the Harz is not exclusive to this graticule, it is also part of 51,11.

What are your thoughts on this? I am specifically asking those who have hashed here, including GeorgDerReisende, Danatar, FeepingCreature, TheOneRing, Ekorren, Mampfred and Rincewind. The graticule has to be renamed, but I don't know if the name should be Goslar or Harz. --Fippe 19:38, 17 October 2015 (EDT)

Did not get any feedback on this, so I just move the page back to Goslar, which has a larget population than Nordhausen. --Fippe (talk) 14:03, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
