Hello and welcome to geohashing! We hope you have fun, and look forward to reading about some of your expeditions soon. I'm in Cambridge, so I have no idea what the current situation is around Brighton, but I hope there's some life there you can stir up. Good luck! Oh, and if you need any help with the wiki (or, indeed, with geohashing) then please ask.
