Karlsruhe is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. With a population of 288,917 (in 2007), it is the third-largest city in Baden-Württemberg, following Stuttgart and Mannheim.
Karlsruhe is a split city, covering both the 49,8 and 48,8 graticules.
- The quarters Daxlanden, Durlach, Grünwinkel, Südstadt and Südweststadt are crossed by the graticule border.
- The quarters Grötzingen, Hagsfeld, Innenstadt, Knielingen, Mühlburg, Neureut, Nordstadt, Nordweststadt, Oststadt, Rintheim, Waldstadt and Weststadt are located in 49,8.
