Going to be there probably around 4 or 4:15.  Will probably hit up a coffee shop nearby (twelve corners), or the Bagel Bin as suggested above. --[[User:Adlaiff6|adlaiff6]] 18:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

About

These coordinates are located in the Rochester, New York graticule on 2008-05-24. Coordinates are 43.126648°, -77.547534°, which is near the southwest corner of Elmwood and Clover in the town of Brighton, just across I-590 from Twelve Corners.

Discussion

Unforunately, I will be out of town this weekend on a climbing/camping trip (interestingly enough, with another XKCDer), so I wont be able to make it. My recommendation for this date is that if the hash pushes the coordinates into the lake, we go to the next graticule down at 42,-77 (see map above)Cogit0

I know it's not the same if it's not on the right date, but if anyone else wants, the 5/21/08 coordinates would be really convenient for me! Sara

That kinda defeats the purpose! ;) I'd say stick with wherever it goes, and flip it south if we need to. It's gonna be a beautiful day to go out and find somewhere random.Cogit0

Barring unpleasantness, I'll be on the southwest corner at 4pm, at which point a relocation to Twelve Corners might be in order. If I'm not there, the Brighton Police probably chased me away... 66.66.80.124 16:31, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Those driving might consider parking on Fireside Drive, west off of Clover, parallel and to the south of Elmwood. With any luck, there will be some sort of yard sale or something in that neighborhood so that a bit of loitering and vehicles unusual to the area won't be noticed quite so much. I think I was at one in that neighborhood last summer. Anyway, there is no on-street parking on Elmwood or Clover, and both carry fairly high-speed cross town traffic. Also, expect traffic to be weird, with sportsball groupies zipping to and from the Senior PGA tour at Oak Hill Country Club not far away. Anyway, for the after-meeting, The Bagel Bin Cafe, in the northwestern section of 12 Corners, is welcoming with teh free wifi and is much less generic-franchise in nature than the other obvious possibilites Panera and Starbucks. Directions to Bagel Bin are probably easiest: Just head west from the location, past 590, through 12 Corners completely, just barely past the fire station on the left and the UPS store on the right, turn right. The Bagel Bin roof shows as the white rectangle on the left-hand side of this Google Satellite view.
