:Last tram stop is on Schleifweg (you can see the turning circle on the satellite view), i.e. 2.2 km by foot, and it's the best way without using your hands. I will go. Do you have time all day? I will try to drag E. along (maybe by bike along the Main though) and I don't know when she has time. Do you have a GPS device with you? - Danatar 13:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

::Awesome!  Schleifweg it is.  I'm probably almost there.  I'm following the tram tracks with google maps right now to find everything, but you answered before I could find it.  I'm busy in the morning (have to head to the hospital), but should be free for the afternoon.  I can text/call you when I get back from the hospital if you'd like.  Unfortunately no GPS, as thepiguy brought them with him, so we'll have to rely on your awesome maps.  Tell me if you're biking or not so I know whether or not to try to meet you on the tram on the way! -Srs0 14:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

:::I've decided to go to the hospital tomorrow instead.  It's not urgent, just a check-up (no actual appointment).  How are you getting there?  Biking I'm guessing, or is E coming?  When are you planning on being there (so I can try to get there at the same general time)?  On that note, do you know how long it takes for the tram to get from Rathaus to Schleifweg?  Sorry for my lack of knowledge! -Srs0 07:42, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Thepiguy and I are planning on going to the one in the Bamberg graticule, as today's is a bit far to reach on a work day. Maybe we'll see you there Danatar? Planning to come... -Srs0 08:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok, so I looked more. I'm thinking we'll take the train to Steinach(b Rothenb) and then bike from there to the geohash, which is around 12km each way. That way we don't have to wait for the transfer to Bad Windsheim If you have the time, your transit knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, we'll be going by the Deutsche Bahn website at 5.15 euro each way.

Departure, unless thepiguy says otherwise, will be 18:41 (or 17:41 if we can make it, but I think we have stuff we have to do), arriving at Steinach at 19:24, via RB 34829. Then return will most likely be at 21:31 via RB 34832.

The train appears to run every hour, so it may be 17:41 departure from Würzburg and 20:31 departure from Steinach, which I hope for, but I doubt it. I'll talk to Thepiguy and see what he thinks. -Srs0 08:38, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't have much time today and none at all in the evening, so I won't come. If you get off the train at Uffenheim and then by bike via Uttenhofen-Seenheim-Ergersheim, you will only have to pay 3.70€.
If you use Google Maps, don't rely only on the road map, have a look at the satellite view, too. And there are the Bavarian Land Survey Office's maps. I think the next time we meet I'll have to show you my maps, because so far you always took strange routes. - Danatar 09:55, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry to hear it! Oh well, thanks for the information! Also, yes, we use Google maps. I'll take a look at the Bavarian Land Survey Office's maps too now though. They should be a lot better. See you on Saturday maybe? -Srs0 10:15, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

New plans:

Talked to thepiguy, and we're going to make the 17:41 train, take it to Uffenheim, and arrive at 18:14. We'll then bike to the hashpoint as per Danatar's help (Uttenhofen-Seenheim-Ergersheim), then back, and hopefully catch the 19:40 train, with a backup plan of 20:40. We should be at the hashpoint by 19:00, including time for getting semi-lost. -Srs0 10:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I plan to do 49 10, I don't have the time for other graticules. If I go alone, I'll try for 4pm, but you can propose another time (between 2pm and 5pm). We could meet 1 hour earlier at Berliner Platz so you won't get lost ;-) - Danatar 22:44, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I think we're going to try 49 8 today. It's almost right in town! Have fun though! Thepiguy 07:12, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Near Rottenbauer. You going Danatar? If so, I'd love to join you. I've seen Rottenbauer on the front of one of the trams - is that the best way to get there, and if so, where does it stop? Input would be greatly appreciated, due to my lack of knowledge! Hopefully you're planning on going! (Thepiguy isn't around, so he won't.) -Srs0 13:38, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
