Oh dear.  I hope this isn't due to me taking you off-road in my wagon.  A good demonstration of departure angle.  I assume it wasn't that bad seeing that this appears to be on your way there, and you still made it to the coordinates, and home.  I must say, you're doing a good job snatching up interior graticules on your first try, when I fail repeatedly.  [[User:Juventas|Juventas]] 04:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Oh dear. I hope this isn't due to me taking you off-road on dirt roads in my wagon. A good demonstration of departure angle. I assume it wasn't that bad seeing that this appears to be on your way there, and you still made it to the coordinates, and home. I must say, you're doing a good job snatching up interior graticules on your first try, when I fail repeatedly. Juventas 04:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Nah, I've taken logging roads many times in this car. The failure was twofold: not realizing that the ditch was too deep, and getting both rear wheels in said ditch at the same time. I got the front end through one wheel at a time with no problem.
It turned out to be not an issue that I couldn't drive that track, as some 50m further, just out of sight, a tree had fallen across the track and I wouldn't have been able to go any further in the car anyway. -- Rhonda 04:46, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Logging roads are roads! -- Rhonda 06:21, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, "off-road" is often misused. Primary logging roads are graded with gravel and can be driven in nearly anything. It's the ones without gravel or any kind of maintenance that can be called "trails" instead of roads. Where you got stuck looks like a transition of one to the other. Of course they are. Their slogan should have been "Volvo 240: Industrial Strength". But it's an undignified position to put your car in, especially a Vehicle of a Certain Age. --starbird 19:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
