Will dich der liebe Gott bestrafen,
schickt er dich nach Ludwigshafen.
Bestraft er dich ein zweites Mal,
schickt er dich nach Frankenthal.
Location
On a field near Frankenthal
Participants
Expedition
When Euterkuh was on his way to the station, he spotted a person bearing a remarkable resemblance to Ilpadre, thought he would go to the station as well, but the guy turned right and disappeared in a Lidl supermarket.
We took the train to Bobenheim. As soon as we got in, it started raining, only a light drizzle for now. When we got out in Bobenheim, the rain became heavier, and the first thing we saw was a red "Fail" graffiti. We interpreted it as a bad omen, but decided to continue, even though the rain got worse every second. The way to the hashpoint was pretty boring, just straight ahead for a few kilometers on a field track. A few tractors passed by, the drivers of which looked at us with compassion. We had reached "Drowned Rat" status pretty soon and wished for the expedition to be over soon, be it by success or by death.
After having reached the hashpoint, we decided not to return to Bobenheim but to go to Frankenthal instead because we wanted to get a cup of coffee there. As soon as we were in the train back to Heidelberg, the rain stopped and the sun appeared again, mockingly. This was one of our worst expeditions so far, but for some reason, we spent most of the time laughing about the absurdity of it all. Back in Heidelberg, we scolded at random strangers for crossing the street while the traffic light was red.
