Plans
This is a super-easy location! Sara will stop by some time this evening, but not sure what time. What time is convenient for everyone else?
I *really* want to stop by, but I'm at work today. Maybe I can just nip out for a bit to take the T over from Alewife to Central. -- Phyzome 17:37, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- I too am at work today, on the other side of Cambridge, so I can't spend much time at the hashpoint. I haven't decided whether to go to the hashpoint on the way home or go there and go back to work? Do you want to meet there? Sara 18:27, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think I must decline today's hash. I'm a little behind on hours at work. :-( -- Phyzome 21:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- That's too bad. I hope you make it to the next convenient hash, and if it's on a Thursday maybe I'll be able to attend too. Sara 22:27, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Expedition
Sara
I left work early enough to get to the hashpoint in the light, and drove over there on my way home. The parking around there was almost all resident permit only, so I parked 750m away and jogged to the hashpoint to warm up, because I had forgotten my jacket.
The streets around the hashpoint are much quieter than Central Square. There are brick sidewalks, cute Victorian houses, and two Korean churches within a block of each other.
I feel honored to have been able to geohash in the city where (I assume) geohashing was invented, and to visit a hashpoint less than 5 km from these coordinates.
