This graticule covers the majority of the Dutch province of Groningen, the north of Drenthe and a part of eastern Friesland. Much of the northern part of the Groningen graticule is in the North Sea.

Notable dates

• Arvid plans on his XKCD-100 by bike at 2008-10-04. Looks like a field and should be sort-of accessible. And it better be after 100+ miles of cycling.

• 2008-06-07: our meetup location is in the water, however the meetup in the next graticule to the south is right in some backyard in Zwolle. Hugo might attempt to go there if someone joins in.
• 2008-05-24: check out the meetup location on google maps or on xkcd's interactive coordinate calculator
  • A group of 7 departed by bike at 14:30 from the Martinitoren on the Grote Markt in Groningen city.
  • There is a seemingly recreational lake 600m north of the meetup point, and another (small) one 300m south: But we didn't swim..
