Location
Dumbarton Road in Bowling, just along from the railway station.
Participants
James - second geohash, one day short of 27 months after my first. My first at 4pm on a Saturday.
Plans
I intended to get the train to Bowling; it would arrive at just after 3:50, and on the way back would leave just before 4:10. This would leave me about quarter of an hour to get to the location, document it and get back.
I briefly considered trying for a No Batteries achievement, but as I had just downloaded the Geohash droid app for my mobile (see first picture below) it seemed a shame not to try it out. Also from checking Google Street View it looked like the location was opposite a building site so I may have missed the point due to the development (sadly as you can see below not much has changed since Google got there).
Expedition
Arrived fine. Unable to document exactly the point as the co-ordinates were in the middle of Dumbarton Road, and cars, buses and a speeding police car stopped me standing around too long.
Did manage to get back to the train station in time, but in doing so my picture of me and the location had to be taken while leaving the location (see last picture below).
