After school I left on foot. After starting the GPS it took it about 5 minutes to actually find a signal good enough for it. And when it actually worked it had an accuracy of about 20 meters, which is far more than the usual 3. All of a sudden it jumped to the normal values and after this the expedition continued without any problems whatsoever. After taking smaller and smaller roads until I came onto a very small road, it wasn't even on Google maps :O I approached the point and when there were just a few meters left (like 4) I wasn't sure if I still was on the public road or if I now were on a driveway. Due to all the snow I wasn't sure. However I reached the hashpoint and took some pictures. Then I headed east to catch a bus back to school to fetch some books there.

Location

Second time it was in town during my hashingtimes. And what does that mean? I'm going for it of course.

Participants

Plans

Walk there after school, then either walk back or take the bus.

Expedition

After school I left on foot.

After starting the GPS it took it about 5 minutes to actually find a signal good enough for it. And when it actually worked it had an accuracy of about 20 meters, which is far more than the usual 3.

All of a sudden it jumped to the normal values and after this the expedition continued without any problems whatsoever. After taking smaller and smaller roads until I came onto a very small road, that wasn't even on Google maps :O.

I approached the point and when there were just a few meters left (like 4) I wasn't sure if I still was on the public road or if I now were on a driveway. Due to all the snow I wasn't sure.

However I reached the hashpoint and took some pictures. Then I headed east to catch a bus back to school to fetch some books there.

Later on when I came home I had gotten a letter from Crox with a geohasher cookie cutter of his. A good end of an expedition.
