In a small patch of wood between two roads near Darmstadt.

I decided to try and reach my first geohash today, because tomorrows coordinates are too far away and I have other plans on Friday. I was totally unprepared and needed to buy some batteries (for my GPS unit) and thumbtacks (for the marker which I printed at work) before I was ready to go. Because of road works on the A5 I couldn't take the exit I wanted and ended up driving through the center of Darmstadt. I arrived near the hash around sunset and could walk a short distance to it without difficulties. I took some photos and pinned the marker to a tree. On the way back to my car I was surprised by a boar, which took off when it heard me. Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo of it.

All in all it was a fun experience and I will definitely do more.
