Expedition
Danatar
By bike I cycled first to Rottendorf, then to Rothof and from there I approached the hashpoint. Not far from the hashpoint there was a couple with a dog. I didn't want to leave my bike alone with them near it, so I just stopped and sat down in the grass until they were out of sight. Shortly after they had entered the forest I saw a deer running from the place the humans must be. I went the last part of the route and saw a deer leaving the forest and running in a straight line across the fields towards the horizon. It might have been the same one as before, because it went the same direction. I left my bike on the edge of the forest and continued on foot. The hashpoint was not far inside the trees, but there was a wide patch of nettles going around the forest. I pulled up my socks as high as possible and tried to cross the nettles without getting stung, it went pretty well. When I was only a few metres from the hashpoint, my camera's battery died. So I crossed the nettles again, went to the bike and replaced the battery. Then I returned towards the hashpoint, scaring a hare while doing so. Finding the spot took a little GPS dance as usual. After some pictures I returned to my bike and took the same route for my way back.
