Just typing something so that this isn't an empty page. This may (much?) later be turned into a worthwhile user page, with information about me, but for the moment you'll have to be satisfied with this.

My name is Bas Wijnen, I live in Groningen (53, 6). I really like the idea of geohashing and do it when the hash isn't too far away. And sometimes when it is, I hope. I'll usually go by bike, or hitch-hiking, so especially when it's in the sea I won't be going. ;-)

If you want to meet at or near a hash point, let me know and I'll try to go there.

Shevek earned the Thumbs Up Geohash Achievement by hitchhiking to the (53, 5) geohash on 2012-05-22, and withstanding the Vogon poetry of the driver.

Shevek earned the Circus Geohash Achievement by juggling at the (53, 6) geohash on 2012-03-28.

Shevek earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging Margriet to the (53, 6) geohash on 2012-03-28.

Shevek earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging Reyes to the (53, 6) geohash on 2012-04-09.

Shevek earned the Hashcat achievement by finding a cat and stopping to pat it near the (53, 5) geohash on 2012-05-22.

Shevek earned the Ambassador achievement by obtaining permission from the farmer owning the land to access the (53, 5) geohash on 2012-05-22.

Shevek earned the Puppet Master Geohash achievement by manipulating Tchakkazulu to reach the (52, 5) geohash on 2012-03-30.
