Expedition
Following the success of my Virgin Graticule Hash the day before, my girlfriend and I set off bright and early to get to a place that our OS Map called Splattenridden. By luck the hash was only about 5 kilometers from the previous days hash! Again, my girlfriend parked up and I walked towards the hash, only to find a gate complete with electric fence blocking my way, and a house in the distance. Undeterred I retraced my steps and knocked on the door of the house, and it was answered by a lovely lady who was very understanding of my mad technological hiking games. I explained that the hash was in her garden, and asked whether I could go in and find it, however, she went one better, and got her husband to show me around! Bill, as I later learned was his name, took me into the garden, and then when the hash was found to be a few metres the other side of the hedge, took me over a few gates, and under a few electric fences, into a field where he had until recently worked for almost his entire life.
I wrote down the address of my user page, so if you get to read this, thank you so much for taking me to the geohash, I couldn't have hoped to meet a nicer couple of people.
