Expedition
Since AG gave the address as "B7" (Federal road 7) which I know, I didn't bother to set the car navigation and just hacked the coordinates into the outdoor gps. Drove on B7, which is a rather nice alley in this part, until I was near the coordinates and then turned onto a grass path that was mown, but clearly seldom used. And, as usual, just by tractors. Still, I was making easy progress and there was little danger in using this rather smooth path. I had to walk 140m into a harvested, ploughed field, chasing a rabbit on approach. Quite interesting, since I never saw this before- it hobbled some 20m, stood up on its hind legs and turned slightly sideways (rabbits have a 270° field of vision) and hobbled 20m on, rechecked... Judging from its pace, I was not considered an immediate threat. Easily reached the coordinates and took the photos- the rabbit was too far off until I had the camera out. I then headed home in search for coffee and cake- which I cancelled after marching an hour through Erfurt without finding a nice café which wasn't absolutely packed. Coffee at home, no cake. :-/ A nice expedition on an even nicer autumn day.
