Riding up the Upfield bike path, we tracked east towards the point.  After arriving at the house Tim B and I decided to give the ambassador achievement a go, so we knocked on the front door.  No answer responded, so we tried the garage.  Sure enough, the middle-aged austerity-era household (comprising a couple in their 50s) were having a BBQ at the back.  We quickly explained geohashing as an internet-based scavenger hunt in which random coordinates must be reached daily, and the male seemed interested enough to let us in and get to the spot in his backyard.  In no time we'd taken photos and returned to the street, many thanks ensuing.

Two of my friends, both with the name Tim, confusingly, were in town and all of us were heading to a party way in the north of the city (actually on a farm). Tim C was down from Brisbane, and Tim B was about to head to Sydney.

Picking a route to ride from the city to the party, we discovered that the day's geohash would be passing by quite closely, although since it was in someone's backyard we were fairly unexcited about it.

We quickly explained geohashing as an internet-based scavenger hunt in which random coordinates must be reached daily, and the male component seemed interested enough to let us in and get to the spot in his backyard. In no time we'd taken photos and returned to the street, many thanks ensuing.

In retrospect we should have told him how to find his expedition on the internet, but we were in a hurry to get to our party.

Here is the route we took, clearly getting confused around the top of the Upfield bike path.
