Plans

Draradech

Do a bike hash after work.

QuarterCacher and Mampfred

It's time again for a midnight double. Mampfred is coming home late anyway and isn't sure if he's around the day after - so why not do both in a night ...

Expedition

Draradech

Did a nice long bike tour (42km) after work and found a very nice hash place. Unfortunately it wasn't reachable, the area is fenced in. So close too, just 11m out.

QuarterCacher and Mampfred

We started around 10pm and parked a good kilometer away from the hash. On the drive there, Mampfred checked the wiki again to see if somebody else had been there during the day which wasn't the case at that time.

Leaving the car it was jst about to go dark full time. On the way there, we passed a pond with lots of frogs in it who where giving a quite impressive night-time concert. QuarterCacher tried to sound record them but didn't get very good results. We moved on to te hash and walked up to a fence. It was unclear what kind of fence it was but there was a sign so Mampfred went on investigating it ... the next thing QuarterCacher heard was Mampfred shouting "Noooo! Draradech!!!". Sure enough the wiki now showed his expedition and the alledged sign was a geohash poster.

At this point it gets interesting as we now knew that Draradech called it a "not reached". However, this being his consective hash #4, QuarterCacher decided for himself that the fence looked more like a safety precaution to keep animals out of a zone where new trees are supposed to grow. So he climbed the fence, went the five meter or so to the hash and got back out quicker than Mampfred could say "geohash codex". Mampfred decided to stick with Draradech though but technically there was one hasher at the hash (and thus the result codes have changed).

We went back to the car and headed on to 2013-06-06 50 8 ...
