From our base camp in Waterville, we rejected this one the night before as being too long of a drive and too likely to be swampy or underwater, even in late summer. After torrential rains led us to abandon 2013-09-02 45 -69, though, we ended up driving further than we expected, and since we were already soaked through by 2013-09-02 45 -68, we figured we might as well give this one the old college try.

Expedition

We woke up on 2013-09-02 to the unexpected sound of rain bucketing down on the Pine Tree State. This led to considerable modification of our game plan. We ditched this one. Oddly, we went ahead and tried for two others: 2013-09-02 45 -68 and 2013-09-02 45 -67.

-We are going to see what we can do with this hashpoint from a base camp in Waterville.  It looks pretty doable, but it's hard to say for sure without being familiar with forest density and access norms in this part of the world.
