Expedition

Too easy not to go for: grounds of a still-on-holiday school, easy to locate from features on the satmap, and very close to where the bus drops me during my commute home.

I had no problem finding the spot, though I only had my cell phone for pics, and no thermometer. I was there from about 4:50 to 5:15.

In lieu of thermometer, I offer (1) a self-portrait with ice in mustache and (2) the temperature record of weather station MC5506 at (42.97, -85.72) which shows -10.5 degrees C at 5 pm.

Three sycamore trees clearly identifiable at hashpoint on satmap (though in the current Google/Peeron image they still had leaves), shot taken looking north. The hashpoint is just west of the middle one.
