The Expedition
Yay, an official holiday. I started not too early in the morning to catch a train. I had to change trains twice until I approached Maisach, but in the end it was only one and a half hours.
On the map, it looked longer but when I switched on my eTrex it said, that it was only approx. 1.5km to the geohash (as the bird flies). Walking along the street took about half an hour and was about 2.7km of distance. Not very much I have to admit. I took the usual photographs and was happy that I reached my first geohash after a break of more than two months.
I walked back to Maisach and had so much time until the next train would arrive, that I had a rest in an ice cream parlour. I chose the iced coffee, but the German version with cold coffee and two balls of ice cream and whipped cream.
