Planning

Was very close so the plan was to go for a short ride after work and collect a No Trespassing Consolidation ribbon because I was sure it would be posted.

Expedition

The route was close to what I have done before in heading South out of the village and had just 4 turns which were very easy to remember...go to the end, Left then next right and repeat once again. Finding the road the hash was near, I turned on the GPS so I knew when to pull over and stop. When I got next to the hash and the GPS read 240 feet to go, I was utterly shocked to see not one Posted sign. Shocked I tell you!

Just like that, the hash changed from a likely No Trespassing to a possible MNB because about 100 feet from the road was a creek and the sides leading to it were a bit steep. I figured without the posted signs, I would be remiss to not at least try to get as close as I could before it became Not-Safe to continue. I found an accomidating tree to lean my bike against and in Road Cleats, very carefully made my way down the slope which wasn't as bad as I initially thought. Finding a way up the other side, I made my way successfully to the hash and got my pictures. Proof acquired, I made my way back to my bike where I found it was exactly 11 miles to the hash. I hopped on my bike to head for home and admired the really nice sunset which the camera-phone completely failed to capture. On the way back, I passed a motorcycle in about the same place I passed one heading to the hash. As we approached each other, I wondered to myself if it was the same guy and a moment later, he pointed at me in that Hey-I've-seen-you-before kind of way. I responded with a smile and a wave.
