The baseball game of my beloved Canberra Cavalry (the team feature colour is orange; see pictures) started late at 12.45pm due to rain delay, and then went long at 8-8 after 9 innings at 3.30pm, so was going to have two more innings of over-time. But, I had to leave as I had another activity to attend (cook bbq sausages for a community group, to serve at 5pm.)

So, on the way, I pulled my car off the highway onto the side road and then into the Black Mountain Penninsular park, and got several "been there" pictures looking over the place, just off the shore where the hash is in Lake Burley Griffin. Helpfully, there was a sign of the park where I stopped near the hash. I got as near as I reasonably could -- without a canoe.

I had to then continue on to rejoin the highway, but that involved turning at the entrance to the National Arboretum Canberra where a major concert crowd was being assembled. Traffic was mad! Through that, I got to my bbq with plenty of time.

And, the score? When I could check, I found that the other team got in three runs in the 11th inning, that my Canberra Cavalry team could not answer. So, the final score was 11-8.
