Expedition

The Auckland graticule is about half water so having a hash achieve landfall is a good day. Having one achieve landfall within a short drive is great - and on a day that I could even attempt is very special!

I was off work sick for the day with a cold and no voice. By the afternoon I was ready to get out of the house. After lunch I ventured over the harbour bridge to the North Shore and down Lake Road. Being there before 3pm was essential as I didn't want to be on my phone milling around outside a school while children play on the playground. Lake Road is notorious for traffic as the main road down a skinny peninsula but travel time was good. I only took a screenshot since there were some mothers and children around waiting.

The park looks like a nice area, next to a theatre and church, with a few shops. I'll have to watch to see if the theatre has anything interesting on in the future.

My first successful mission!
